Detailed Job Description

The Building Services Team Leader provides work leadership to the Facilities Athletic Building Services Specialist team members in addition to performing day-to-day assigned duties. Performs some supervisory functions in the absence of the Assistant Manager and Manager. Performs a wide variety of manual and technical duties to include setting up and taking down of equipment for athletic events; loading and unloading equipment and supplies; trash removal; cleaning (indoors and outdoors); operating various types of power and cleaning equipment; and performing errands or messenger duties.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Must have HS Diploma or GED with the demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Three (3) years work experience in a custodial services or special events position or working with athletic equipment, maintenance and athletic set-ups OR a combination of three (3) years work experience in any of the three areas listed above. Must be able to perform administrative functions such as ordering supplies, processing electronic payroll. Must be able to work autonomously. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and the essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. May be required to submit a medical history statement from personal physician. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier. Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer some Leadership or Supervisory experience. Prefer some college. $17.35/hr. This is a Department only search. You must be a current UA employee working in the area of Coliseum Maintenance to apply and be considered.
