Detailed Job Description

The Associate Director for Training and Conference Activities (T&CA), Division of Environmental and Industrial Programs (DEIP), provides leadership and directs the development and implementation of all programs assigned to the T&CA section. These programs include a diverse inventory of open-market, contract and other externally funded conferences and non-credit training programs including a number of competency-based certification courses in the classroom and online.

Additional Department Summary:

This position represents the College of Continuing Studies and University in its ongoing relationship with OTI through which many of the training programs developed by T&CA are reviewed and approved. This position also oversees business development activities for T&CA and coordinates with both Safety and Health Programs and Environmental Programs to insure integrated marketing goals for all of DEIP are achieved.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a Master's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental management, business or a closely related field with a minimum of three (3) years professional level experience in safety and health, environmental consulting, continuing education or corporate training, with at least three years in a management position, OR, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental management, business or a closely related field with a minimum of five (5) years professional level experience in safety and health, environmental consulting, continuing education or corporate training, with at least three years in a management position, is required.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Working knowledge of financial management, human resources and marketing is required. Basic computer usage skills in a Windows and Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) environment are required. Must be able and willing to travel in and out of state when needed.Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Designation as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 49878.36 Midpoint - $ 72321.60
