The position will report directly to the College President and performs complex and varied administrative duties related to the operations of the office
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include assistance to the President with external affairs and non-academic matters. Coordination of the calendar and travel arrangements, provide budget monitoring assistance; transmits important decisions and directives of the executives to personnel, act as a liaison and assist with the executive team and San Juan College Board. The individual will prepare correspondence, assist with writing speeches, internal memorandums, reports, purchase orders, and other related forms and complex operations. May supervise work study students, clerical aids and administrative assistants. Any and all other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree with four years of progressively responsible work experience is required. Experience providing CEO/Administrative support is highly desired. The successful candidate must have a commitment to the community college mission; demonstrate skills and knowledge in the areas of office management. Possess extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, grammar and composition; must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office—particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and must have the ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and maintain effective, diplomatic working relationships. Individual must have exceptional customer service skills, effective communication skills and be able to manage a highly complex office business in an efficient and professional manner.
