Detailed Job Description
Quinnipiac University invites applications for a Director of Field Education for the new Master of Social Work program, which plans to admit its first students in August 2013, pending approval from the state and CSWE.
The Director of Field Education will develop and manage the field education component of the MSW program, develop and oversee field policies, maintain relationships with community agencies and field instructors, monitor and advise faculty field liaisons, lead field orientations and seminars, and teach in the MSW program. An active role in developing this new MSW program is expected, as it enters candidacy through CSWE.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Requirements for the position include an MSW degree from a program accredited by CSWE, eligibility for licensure in CT at the LCSW level, knowledge of social work agencies in the geographic area, and at least two years of post-MSW social work experience, in addition to field instructor experience. A doctoral degree in social work and experience in an office of field education in a school of social work are preferred.

This is a full-time, 12-month clinical faculty position. Rank will depend upon qualifications. The position will begin in January 2013.
