Detailed Job Description
The Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the management and strategic planning of assigned areas in support of the University's efforts to identify, recruit and admit qualified students.
Additional Department Summary:
Under the leadership of the Executive Director, provides leadership and direction to the Assistant Director for Specialized Recruitment by aligning strategic planning with departmental objectives in the continual implementation of strategic planning and recruitment through outreach activities, enhanced high school relations and recruitment events. Provides leadership and direction to the Assistant Director for Scholarships for the disbursement and management of approximately $65 million dollars annually. Provides leadership and management to the Assistant Director for Operations by managing significant quantities of data including over 35,000 freshman admission applications, more than 80,000 ACT/SAT test scores and approximately 100,000 transcripts and supporting documents. Provides oversight and assistance to the Assistant Director for International Admissions in areas of application and credential reviews for approximately 2,000 international applicants requiring experience in the interpretation of Federal and state regulations within the context of University policy. This position reports directly to the Associate Provost and Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions. This position serves with other senior campus staff on the Admission Appeal Committee, the Disciplinary Review Board and the Council of Associate and Assistant Deans (CAAD).
Required Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional-level admissions, student recruitment, or other related work experience in a higher education, or a Master's degree and 5 years of professional-level admissions, student recruitment, or other related work experience in a higher education.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Experience in admissions work or other related background in higher education administration such as student affairs, student involvement, campus activities, etc. An earned doctorate in an appropriate discipline and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a complex higher education institution is preferred. Preferred degrees include marketing, education, business, communications or other closely related field of study. 61 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 58656.00 Midpoint - $ 85342.44
