Under general supervision, the CareerPassport Participant Recruiter/Events Assistant will perform moderately complex duties recruiting students to the CareerPassport Program through classroom presentations, Jumpstart Orientation sessions, CareerPassport events, hallway recruiting, etc. Duties include assisting with CareerPassport Program events.
High school diploma or equivalent education plus six months to one year of related experience is required.
Prior recruiting experience.
Prior event management experience.
Knowledge of recruiting techniques and procedures especially within a student environment.
Knowledge of social media applications and promotional and recruiting strategies utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,etc.
Knowledge of event management practices.
Professional presentation and communication skills.
Strong customer-service and people skills.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent organization skills.
Strong work ethics and ability to work independently.
Ability to successfully manage several tasks and events simultaneously.
Ability to pay attention to details.
Ability to work independently as well as a menber of a team.
