Job Responsibilities

Researches and identifies cost effective external solutions for learning content implementation with a continuous improvement perspective

Creates new, blended, and online learning content using current technology and methodology to develop clear and concise materials

Designs courses and programs as required by the College to review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs; and recommends appropriate changes

Prepares plans for training project completion including comprehensive scripting, thematic storyboarding, and timelines

Prepares related instructional documentation as needed

Creates storyboards, scripts, course content (including simulations and blended solutions) and learner directions for eLearning solutions

Designs manuals and materials in support of systems with emphasis on TEC (performance management system)

Delivers effective learning interventions (such as Instructor Lead Training, web-based, eLearning, etc) as required to address needs and gaps within organization

Participates and supports the branding and marketing efforts of the Learning and Development functions

Promotes a culture that clearly emphasizes the strategic significance of continuous learning

Designs courseware using interactive, online learning models to implement adult learning principles to deliver training in an effective manner

Applies effective facilitation skills across multiple levels of the College in various departments

Conducts needed research on various OD & Talent Management projects to find solutions that can be communicated to the Executive Director to determine potential implementation

Participates on and manages implementation of various HR projects and or programs via standardized project management process

Assesses and evaluates opportunities for improvement specifically related to Talent Management & OD projects & systems

Serves as backup to OD department team members as needed for training, project work, new employee orientations, and related departmental needs.

Responsible for the College’s learning materials ensuring that they are always up to date, compliance ready and easily accessible including, but not limited to, TEC, and KWeb

Plans and manages learning projects using internal and/or vendor resources including accountability for budget, products, and resources

Manages TEC content and serves as an administrator and trainer, when required

Maintains a variety compliance-ready OD & Talent Management training materials

Prepares, identifies, tracks, and reports various OD-related metrics

Evaluates delivery approach, departmental programs and offerings for quality improvement and solution implementations while incorporating a diversity and inclusivity perspective.

Remains current on developments in learning and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements and attends periodic seminars, forums, and meetings to ensure currency of education

Conducts needs, assessments, and instructional analysis to ensure conformity with learning objectives and develops training plans as needed

Consults with internal customers to confirm program/system objectives and constraints

Works to understand the customer needs, learning objectives, and recommends solutions as required

Visible promotion of a learning and development culture by continuous assessment of organizational processes/procedures and recommends solutions

Ensures client satisfaction through strong relationship management

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a training-related field and/or a minimum of five years of demonstrated related training experience

Demonstrated experience in content development, delivery, and group facilitation

Demonstrated experience applying adult training methods, needs assessment, and evaluation methodology

Demonstrated examples of curriculum design and development experience

Demonstrated experience forecasting and monitoring a business area’s budget

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possesses working knowledge of Organizational Development concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Possesses excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to be creative and exercise initiative

Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Experience in developing competency based training and coaching based management development programs

Experience within a higher education environment

Demonstrated experience with authoring software such as , Softchalk, Jing, Camptasia Relay, and/or similar programs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Demonstrated capability to deliver work product in the following: Adobe Acrobat, Presenter, Jing, Camtasia, familiarity with Blackboard, Adobe Connect, Audacity, Softchalk, or related applications

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business; Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
