The assistant – video cinematographer is responsible for helping with the creation and editing of video content. This position assists in all aspects of film and video pre-production, production and post-production for special events, marketing/ promotional materials, and educational and special program videos, including other projects as needed.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree or any combination of education and/or full-time experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling two years.
Extensive knowledge of production techniques. Knowledge of camera operation, grip/ utility, audio mixing, video tape operation, video control, graphics, setup & strike of equipment, technical directing and stage managing.
Skilled in the following areas:

- video control
- setup & strike of equipment
- technical directing & stage managing
Able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to operate camera equipment.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to create and follow a production schedule, effectively manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work and contribute as a team member in a collaborative work environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
