Wheaton College (IL) is seeking to fill two full-time, tenure track faculty positions, rank open, in our APA-accredited PsyD program for Fall 2016. As a diverse community of faculty and students who share a faith-based commitment to professional practice as service, especially to those marginalized in our society, we strongly encourage applications from groups underrepresented in higher education, including women and ethnic and racial minorities. Areas of specialization are open. However consistent with our core program mission, a strong preference will be given to candidates with clinical and research interests related to historically underserved populations. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: intersection of culture and clinical practice, global mental health, child/adolescent assessment within a developmental psychopathology framework, and geropsychology. Core faculty responsibilities include teaching, seminar-based oversight of clinical training, and dissertation research supervision. Successful candidates are expected to pursue a high-quality program of research and to mentor students in these ongoing efforts. A doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA accredited institution, or an allied field is required. Licensure or license-eligible in the state of Illinois is also required. College teaching experience and a strong track record of scholarly publications are both highly desirable.
Send letter of interest, vitae, and names of references by email to Ben Pyykkonen, PsyD Director, at: Ben.Pyykkonen@wheaton.edu.
Application forms will be sent to promising inquirers. Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
