FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION: NURSING INSTRUCTOR: (Division of Health Professions, Practical Nurse Option) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated start date: September, 2015. Hiring contingent on available budget resources.
Teach classroom, laboratory and clinical courses in the Practical Nurse Option. Participate in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and revision using defined program outcomes. Maintain office hours and advise students. Participate in College Services Activities.
Must have a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing. Possess an earned baccalaureate degree in nursing for appointment to faculty of a Practical Nursing program. Possess a minimum of two years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in the area of clinical instruction; and maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities. Ability to work collegially and as a team member required.
A Master's degree in nursing for appointment to faculty of a Practical Nursing program preferred. Previous teaching experience in practical nursing education and teaching experience in a community college setting is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $42,491.00 - $67,738.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
