Detailed Job Description
The Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for the administrative supervision of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, including Scholarships, Alumni and Volunteer Recruitment, International Recruitment, Orientation and Special Programs. In collaboration with the Provost this position is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic and operational undergraduate recruitment and admissions, domestic and international, initiatives that are consistent with the University's Mission and Goals to achieve target enrollment objectives. Leadership, vision and management is provided by this position to a large staff for the realization of these strategic initiative/goals. The Executive Director collects, reviews and manages Undergraduate Admissions data for effective recruitment and matriculation of students.
Additional Department Summary:
The Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions manages a team of senior staff to ensure that they understand and grasp the ever changing trends in student interest, recruitment, scholarships, admissions and matriculation and they share this information with their staff. This position continuously refines the Undergraduate Admissions application processes, domestic and international, to ensure that these operations are efficient and productive to increase the entering freshman class with higher quality each year. The Executive Director plays a key role in ensuring that $75 million scholarship dollars are awarded to entering prospective students. This position integrates marketing of concepts and direction for email campaigns, direct mail, advertising, web, social media and on and off campus programming. These integrated marketing concepts are customer service oriented and strategic communication plans for prospective students and their parents. This position collaborates with college/school Deans, University Registrar, Director of Financial Aid, Director of Student Receivables and other stakeholders toward achieving the University's enrollment goals. Oversight of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations as they apply to undergraduate admissions is also a responsibility of this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in recruiting, admissions, enrollment management or other related field ; OR Master's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in recruiting, admissions, enrollment management or other related field; OR Doctoral degree with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in recruiting, admissions, enrollment management or other related field.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Proven track record of success in recruitment with directly related experience in the administration of an admissions office. Two years of experience at the director level in the admissions area or 5 years of increasingly responsible management experience in the area of admissions. Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge:
Superior communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills; supervisory experience in an admissions operation; expertise in facilitating organizational development and change; competency for analyzing recruitment-related data and assessing programming activities as part of a strategic enrollment planning initiative; an understanding of the innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; and experience working with diverse populations.
Master's Degree is preferred. Experience in recruiting or admissions in a higher education environment preferred. 63 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 81972.84 Midpoint - $ 118851.24
