The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Alabama seeks to appoint one full-time instructor in the area of studio art (2D Design and Drawing). This is a non-tenure track, multi-year position, renewable upon contingency. In addition to teaching responsibilities, other responsibilities include service to the profession and engaging in departmental, college and university service.
Qualifications: MFA in Studio Art; a record of successful teaching (beyond the graduate teaching assistant level) and its assessment; commitment to integrating new technologies in teaching; encouraging interactive classroom learning; and an active professional record. A minimum of two years of teaching relevant courses at the college level is required. Prior experience using Blackboard is preferred.
