Microbiology Department seeking to hire a faculty position to teach basic/general biology/microbiology courses; teach upper-level immunology course. Appointment to begin the 2015-16 academic year.
Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor position to teach basic/general biology/microbiology courses; teach upper-level immunology course; provide general advising to undergraduates; contribute to the curriculum in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Sciences, Master of Sciences, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in microbiology and the Bachelor of Sciences degree in medical laboratory science; perform service to the department and the university.
Master’s or ABD (for appointment as Instructor), Doctorate (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) in immunology or related field by date of appointment (August 2015); experience teaching undergraduate lectures and/or laboratories on topics related to microbiology.
Interest in developing new courses and teaching methods; advising experience.
