Devises and executes communications and marketing plans and collateral for the College of Aviation & Public Services (CAPS) that elevate the profile and enrollment of the College and reinforce the UVU brand. This is an embedded position within the University’s central Marketing and Communications office dedicated/assigned to the CAPS enterprise.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree, plus one year of marketing/design experience OR a combination of relevant education and experience totaling five years.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field and 1-4 years of related experience.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of best marketing and communications best practices, with preference for experience in a higher education or aviation and public services setting; Strong knowledge of and well versed in the aviation and public services industries; Basic knowledge of graphic design principles and applications including the Adobe Suite; Demonstrated knowledge of best social media practices and digital marketing best practices and platforms; Knowledge of customer relationship management systems and marketing databases; Knowledge of lead generation, SEO, data analysis as well as online and print advertising best practices.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Demonstrated and versatile writing skills; Strong copy editing skills; Excellent organization and time-management skills; Skills and experience in on- and off-line lead generation best practices; Demonstrated skills in search engine optimization and website management and CRM system implementation.
