Under the supervision of the Senior Director for International and Multicultural Studies (IMS), the Associate Director will manage all of the functions of the IMS office including but not limited to Intercultural Academic Programs, External and Community Engagement, Intercultural Community Engagement, World Trade Center Activities and CGIE activities. Specializes in the execution of IMS initiatives in a timely manner.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years of directly related experience OR any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years.
Masters Degree preferred.
Second language preferred.
Previous study or work outside the United States.
Knowledge of best practices in international study programs management.
Skill in communication, listening, writing, and speaking.
Skill in the use of computers, standard software programs, and desktop publishing software.
Skill in budget management.
Skill in marketing, public relations, or advertising.
Skill in organization: planning, working on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing, and completing tasks expeditiously.
Ability to work both on one’s own and as a team player, with department personnel, and by establishing excellent working relationships with University personnel.
Ability to handle student information with confidentiality.
