Detailed Job Description

The Director of UA Early College provides leadership in the development, management, and marketing of the UA Early College (UAEC).

Additional Department Summary:

The UA Early College recruits academically qualified high school students to enroll in University of Alabama courses prior to completion of high school. Courses are delivered via distance delivery, on-campus, and through a summer residential experience. Primary responsibilities include program and curriculum development, program administration and budgetary management, and development of internal and external partnerships.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree and a minimum of five years of experience; OR Doctoral degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to nurture and sustain partnerships between educational entities, understanding of academic curricula and programming, strong administrative and managerial background.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree preferred. Degree field in education, adult education, communications, business preferred. Experience in higher education, continuing education, K-12 education, communications, technology, or business. Direct experience in the development and administration of academic credit programs for adolescent, non-traditional students. Experience with programming for student development and success and/or working with adolescents. Experience in teaching or administering programs delivered via distance technologies. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 49878.36 Midpoint - $ 72321.60
