Detailed Job Description

This position assists in the operation, maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial cooling, heating and refrigeration equipment to include water chillers, cooling towers, pumps, lab equipment, ventilation, air distribution systems and associated controls. Makes routine inspections; interprets plans and blueprints. Must drive from site to site.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions and a minimum of two years experience in the construction trade with at least one year in the field of A/C Refrigeration or the completion of trade or vocational school in this skilled crafted area. Requires universal certification requirements for handling, recovering and reclaiming Freon. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and the essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. May be required to submit a medical history statement from personal physician. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Final candidate must submit to and successfully pass a post offer drug test. Note to Applicants - Applicants must be willing to participate in a pre-employment skills assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer High School diploma or GED
