Detailed Job Description

The website content coordinator serves as the primary manager, writer and editor of the college's website content; providing content guidance to more than 100 content contributors and owners across the college and overseeing the website governance process. The content coordinator supports the college's marketing communications strategies by writing and developing clear messages in addition to editing the content created by others. Working closely with teams throughout the college and within the public relations and marketing department, the content coordinator ensures that the website's content successfully represents the college's brand and branding standards and helps the website's various users achieve their goals. The website content coordinator oversees the governance process, trains content contributors and owners, and helps guide the content strategy.  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher (marketing, communications, English, journalism or a related field preferred)

Minimum of three years of related writing and editing experience  

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in website management and information architecture

Proven experience with taking complex or demanding content and creating clear, concise and compelling webpages with intuitive navigation

Experience with content management systems

Strong collaborator with exceptional customer service account management skills including the proven ability to work with internal teams, as well as outside vendors and freelancers

Excellent project management, problem-solving skills and organizational skills including the ability to work in a fast paced environment prioritize projects
Self-motivated with a passion for sharing stories and inspiring others through digital media

Exceptional editing skills and attention to detail

Experience in training and presenting a plus
