Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of the Center for Constitutional Studies, assists with a variety of Center activities, projects, and programs. Assists Director with event preparations and production of high profile events. Acts as the Director’s liaison to the UVU student body and future UVU students. Supervises student assistants and volunteers at the Center. Represents the Director and Center in a professional, pleasant, and decorous manner. Must be able to commit to a set schedule for 20-28 hours of work each week. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed, as certain projects and university-wide CCS events require.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education plus six months to one year of related experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of constitutional government, law, history, and theory, and CNST Minor or previous experience as a volunteer or assistant at the Center.
Experience with webpage maintenance and design, film editing, and graphic design
Skill in in Adobe Suite or another film editing and graphic design program


Knowledge of basic concepts of constitutional government, law, history, and theory.
Knowledge of office protocol.


Skill in typing and computer proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.


Ability to present to small and large groups.
Ability to participate in constitutionally-related activities.
Ability to represent the Center in a professional and pleasant manner.
Ability to follow verbal and written instruction will little supervision.

Pay Range

$10.00 - $12.50
