The Museum Registrar maintains electronic and paper records of art objects including loan agreements, accession records, condition reports, inventories and catalog entries, and oversees the handling, movement, packing and shipping of objects using best museum practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Art History or a related field OR a combination of relevant education and work experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Art History or a related field OR a combination of relevant education and work experience totaling four years.
Experience working with art or museum objects preferred.

Knowledge

Knowledge of museum registration methods, collections management, and museum best practices.

Skills

Skill in organization, interpersonal communication, object handling and project management.

Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), and to physically lift and move objects.

Pay Range

$31,554 - $42,072
