The Department of Nutrition at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applicants for a Lecturer position for the 2015-2016 academic year to teach introductory and advanced human nutrition courses. The candidate will be an integral member of the Nutrition Department and will be required to follow those responsibilities outlined in the MSU Denver Handbook for Professional Personnel.
Teach a minimum of 30 credit hours (or equivalent) during the 2015-2016 academic year and maintain 5 office hours per week to include advising and consultation with students. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population that includes U.S. ethnic minorities and/or women.
Master’s Degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Food Science/Technology, Public Health Nutrition or other Nutrition-related fields.
Registered Dietitian. At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the nutrition field. Previous teaching experience at the college level and experience with online courses. Earned doctorate.
