Detailed Job Description

The HR Specialist provides professional human resource services in one or more of the following areas: recruitment, benefits, compensation, or employee relations.

Additional Department Summary:

This position will be responsible for managing the online recruitment and onboarding system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to researching and resolving system problems or unexpected results while ensuring integrity of the data. This position will develop and maintain training tools as well as conduct classroom and one-on-one training. This position will also manage the recruitment process for specified areas of campus.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a human resources environment.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations. Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft application software including word processing, spreadsheet and database. Excellent oral and written communication skills, human relations skills and negotiating skills are necessary as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of university administration. Must be flexible, able to work effectively in a team-based environment, must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and must have strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Human Resource system liaison/administrator is preferred. CCP, PHR or SPHR preferred. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
