Assist Course Developers in designing, developing and maintaining technology-based educational media and interactive learning experiences, exercise skills in current educational and internet technology, including major learning management systems, social media, office and multimedia software, and web development, collaborate and coordinate with team members, assisting in improving local standards, processes, and procedures for educational media production.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, technology, education plus one year of experience directly related to job duties or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years. Minimum of six months of experience with HTML or Dreamweaver is required.
Knowledge of motivation and learning theory as well as instructional design elements is essential. Knowledge of available interactive technologies and their use in education is required. Extensive knowledge of the Canvas learning management system also required. Understanding of the education profession is also helpful.
Ability to work in a rapid prototyping, iterative environment in close consultation with a creative team is a must.
