Detailed Job Description

Coordinate UVU Dance,Cheer and Green Man Group programs/activities (i.e. plan, organize & evaluate.) Coordinate all events with student participants involving performance, programs, facilities, etc. Oversee program budgets and finances (e.g. scholarships, budgets, ticket sales etc.). Collaborate with Athletics office in support of all required program participation.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience directly related to the summary of duties; OR an associate’s degree directly related to the summary of duties with three years of directly related experience; or any combination of education and/or experience directly related to the summary of duties totaling five years.

Knowledge

Knowledge of cheerleading and dance/drill team instruction.
Knowledge of choreography and dance techniques.
knowledge of cheerleading and dance/drill team organization and direction.
Knowledge of cheerleading and dance/drill team competition.
knowledge of cheerleading and dance/drill methods, organization, gymnastics, and tumbling.

Skills

Skilled in organization and oral/written communication; skilled in interpersonal relations.

Abilities

Ability and desire to work effectively with students, athletic coaching staff, faculty, administration, parents, and
others.
Ability to motivate students.
Ability to adjust to a variable work and practice schedule.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to organize and complete tasks in a professional and timely manner.

Pay Range

$28,730 to $38,306
