Under the direction of the Senior Director of the Women Success Center, directs all aspects of the Wee Care Childcare Center ensuring a comfortable and safe environment where children ages six weeks to 12 years are provided with quality care. Assures that all services are provided in accordance with federal, state and university guidelines. Supervises staff and interacts with program participants. Secures private donations and grants, manages budgets, and promotes services of the center to students and employees.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in a related field, previous fund raising experience, and proficiency in budget management.
Knowledge of childcare programs, curriculum, licensing, and accreditation.
Knowledge in management and leadership.
Knowledge of a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Design Suite.
Skill in organizational, verbal, and written communication.
Skill in budget management.
Skill in grant writing and securing private donations.
Skill in interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and public relations sufficient to work with and relate to a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
Ability to work in an office environment with minimum supervision.
Ability to supervise and train employees.
Ability to work with attention to detail, maturity, professional demeanor, tact, diplomacy, and a sense of humor.
Ability to collect and analyze data.
Ability to prioritize and to change priorities as needs arise.
