Human Resources

The Recruiter is responsible for managing all relevant employment sources for the recruitment of staff and faculty instructors.

Basic Function:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Maintain current position vacancy notices in Human Resources and the applicant tracking system.
    Administrator for the applicant tracking system. Including training of all new hiring mangers and approvers to the system.
  • Assist with the Pride Leader onboarding program.
  • Create and design all outside advertising for position vacancies, in cooperation with department chairs/supervisors,directors and the Human Resource Director. Ensures quality, specific university language (in collaboration with Marketing and Public Relations) and other mandated inclusion regarding EEOC requirements and Veterans Preference Compliance.
  • Evaluate and investigate advertising and promotional opportunities to ensure the greatest exposure for employment opportunities with the university.
  • Act as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
  • Responsible for oversight of background investigations, transcripts, etc. to gain adequate information on which to base a selection decision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of hiring trends, sourcing and selection.
  • Capable of relating to individuals at all levels in order to manage unique situations, have ensitivity to University needs and serve as a business partner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with employment law and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency in Word and Excel is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and, at least, two year’s experience in Human Resources.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
