Detailed Job Description

The Assistant Director for Student Services provides strategic planning, implementation, assessment, management, and administration of Honors College academic programs specifically relating to student development with particular emphasis on directing the use of technology in increasing efficiency.

Additional Department Summary:

The Assistant Director oversees college-wide supplemental academic advising (and coordination of other academic advising), scholarship, and assessment functions. This position is responsible for implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of student services processes in the Honors College, including, but not limited to, retention efforts, graduation audits, and scholarship distribution. Additionally, the Assistant Director manages all data analysis to facilitate the development and evaluation of Honors College programs. This position will also maintain current technological/computer-based functions at the Honors College as it relates to student services. In conjunction with Honors College leadership, this position will assist in curriculum implementation as it relates to professional/student development, student leadership, and student engagement.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Higher Education or related field and at least two (2) years' experience at a major university to include thorough knowledge of student development theory, computerized systems and data mining processes, and a demonstrated record of the ability to promote collaboration and initiate, develop, and complete projects and programs in an organized, timely manner, OR a Master's degree in Higher Education or related field.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree plus two years post-Masters professional experience and postsecondary teaching preferred. Experience in a higher education setting to include working with student information systems, staff and student training programs. Confidence and openness to challenge and critique. . 58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 37065.60 Midpoint - $ 53747.16
