Design, prepare, and teach courses and deliver content using in a meaningful and engaging methods with measurable course objectives.
Expected to teach, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in a classroom setting via demonstrations, discussion, experiential learning activities, and visual aids as well as provide evaluation of learning through written and performance tests.
Expected to hold regular office hours and maintaining a student-oriented approach to education.
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a doctorate degree in a related field to the coursework being taught or master’s degree plus two years of experience in a related discipline or a bachelor’s degree plus four years of directly related experience. Demonstrated successful teaching at the college or university level is required.
PhD in Human Development and Family Studies or a related field of study.
Extensive experience teaching family studies undergraduates.
Knowledge of Family Studies discipline and course content.
Demonstrate effective instructional pedagogy including teaching strategies and techniques.
Possess effective interpersonal, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Ability to manage, motivate, and evaluate students
Ability to communicate effectively and consistently orally and electronically with students
