The Broadcast Producer/Editor is responsible for pre-production planning, video production, and post production editing for specialty video pieces to be utilized on a variety of platforms.

Additional Department Summary:

The Broadcast Producer/Editor is a highly creative person with a comprehensive knowledge of all current video software recognized as industry standard. The person in this position is responsible for shooting and editing content for internal and external platforms as well as for developing and executing social media programs aligned with the Office of University Relations objectives. This person will create embeddable web videos for UA's homepage as well as other video platforms. This person should also display an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms using video and how each platform can be utilized in various scenarios.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience as an editor, producer or director in a broadcast or multimedia production environment; OR a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design or in a related field and some experience as an editor, producer or director in a broadcast or multimedia production environment; or a Master's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism, Graphic Design.

Skills and Knowledge:

The person in this position needs to have a comprehensive knowledge of current video equipment and current video software recognized as industry standards including Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Soundtrack Pro, Motion. An understanding and working knowledge of social media platforms using video and how to effectively communicate using these platforms is needed. Knowledge of lighting positioning and techniques required. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76
