Detailed Job Description

The website content developer oversees the content of the AACC website, manages the website governance process and facilitates the contributions of the college-wide content community. The content developer supports the college's marketing communications strategies by developing clear messages and managing the production of highly effective, targeted content for web pages, blogs, white papers and other digital content. The website content developer will work closely with teams throughout the college and within the public relations and marketing department to ensure that the website's content successfully represents the college's brand and helps the website's various users achieve their goals.  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (marketing, communications, English, journalism or a related field preferred)

Superior writing skills with proven experience developing web content, interactive media and social media; ability to convey a range of voices and styles for diverse audiences; and concisely communicate complex or demanding subject matter

Minimum five years related experience in website development and strategy.

Experience in training and presenting

Experience with content management systems

Demonstrable experience writing concise, attention-grabbing and hard-hitting copy that
effectively gets the message across

Strong analytic skills and prior experience with search engine optimization, web analytics
including site traffic and lead conversion monitoring; experience with online marketing and advertising experience a plus

Self-motivated with a keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of web and social media platforms
Ability to work with internal marketing and production teams, as well as outside vendors and freelancers

Excellent project management skills

Outstanding client relationship and customer service skills; strong negotiation and problem solving skills; good collaborator

Ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to details and deadlines; strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects
