Reporting academic progress and recommendations to students. Provide support and assistance to the department’s academic advisors.
Advise students regarding course schedules and degree plans. Ensure that all necessary documentation in support of students’ academic program is promptly completed. Assist in the recruitment and retention of new students. Represent the university at education fairs and career days. Be a vital contributing member of the academic advising team.
Knowledge of higher education; Ability to work in a team environment; Ability to prioritize work and manage time; Demonstrated ability to use computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
Bachelor’s degree from a regional accredited college or university. Previous administrative experience required.
Academic or other counseling background preferred.
Recruiting or other marketing experience preferred.
