Detailed Job Description

Responsible for supporting the overall development of the project. Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Promotes the project and serves as liaison between the project and contacts internal and external to the University. Position may also supervise students, provide general office assistance, create promotional materials, and assist in the development of other potential projects.

Additional Department Summary:

The Center for Advanced Public Safety (CAPS) has established the Lab for Leadership in the Exploration of Analytics, Data, Engineering and Research (LEADER). LEADER will house various research labs in areas such as weather, traffic safety, virtual reality and analytics with potential additional laboratories defined under the LEADER mission.The Research Laboratory Coordinator assists the Director in the coordination of laboratory management and will assist in all efforts conducted by the lab, including research, outreach, grant writing, grants management, and all other lab activities. The Research Laboratory Coordinator performs managerial functions for multiple research laboratories focused on applied research and IT integration in applied research. The Coordinator will manage all research support at the direction of the Research Laboratory Director. Day travel and some overnight travel possible.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong verbal, writing, planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of research methods. Proficiency in word processing, database management and spreadsheet programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in managing projects. Event planning experience. Professional experience in criminal justice, juvenile justice, psychology, counseling, social service, social science, public service or analytical professions.Multi-disciplinary approach to applied research activities, including technical IT knowledge for research analytics. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 31969.56 Midpoint - $ 46342.44
