Part-time position to respond to program related inquiries from students, students’ teachers and professors, students’ parents, domestic and international, in a timely manner; provide accurate information in presenting the program and answering questions; facilitate finding resolutions to issues and problems.


Assist students with ongoing cultural adjustment process, including on campus or off campus activities; regularly host cultural orientation workshops; prompt student involvement with the local communities; provide individual support as needed;

Plan and execute major program-sponsored cultural activities: provide administrative and logistical support for these activities including negotiating with hotel/space reservation, catering, and other service providers for most cost effective arrangements; independently design and coordinate program-sponsored trips to cultural or academic events; be responsible for compliance with University policy relating to these sponsored activities, and for the safety and welfare of the students;

Communicate bilingually (English and Chinese) with students, academic departments, campus offices, overseas partners, applicants and their parents to ensure effective communication among all parties.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Background with multicultural experience;
  • Background in educational psychology study;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Working knowledge of departmental and campus policies and procedures;
  • Experience coordinating programs specifically for international students;
  • One or more years of professional work experience with international students;
  • Fluent foreign language (Chinese) in reading, writing and speaking;
  • Available to work during non-business hours, such as evening, early morning, and weekend if needed;
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and experience driving up to 15 passenger vans for transporting students in the program among different event locations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree preferred;
