Provides customized and proper strength and conditioning programs for students, faculty, and staff.
High school diploma or equivalent plus any special certifications and/or training required in field of specialty, specifically NASM or ACSM certification.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess current Red Cross CPR certification.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree in exercise science, health promotions, or related field or 2 years of experience teaching or closely related professional experience.
Knowledge of fitness and wellness.
Knowledge of instructional and motivational strategies and techniques.
Knowledge of fitness program planning and program implementation.
Skills in different methods of fitness promotions and ways to increase fitness levels.
Evidence of involvement in professional organizations and appropriate certifications.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to a diverse client group. Ability to work independently.
