Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions Internal Operations, this position is the functional lead for the development and management of data systems and management information within the Office of Admissions.

This position's primary responsibilities include monitoring input and management of all contact information related to the recruiting efforts of the office, provision of all management information for use in analysis of all office operations, maintenance and staff training related to the BANNER student information system and BRM, Banner Relationship Management (BRM)/ Recruiting and Admissions Performance (RAP) and Workflow.

As the data analysis expert on the admissions management team, the position also provides data and reports that assist with the development of all Admissions recruiting and outreach efforts. The position uses extensive knowledge of strategic enrollment management and predictive modeling to advise all areas of enrollment services on developing strategic enrollment plans and initiatives.

The position also serves as the technical lead along with the Associate Director of Internal Operations for the BRM system, which includes developing campaigns and population selections, troubleshooting problems, training staff, and managing security access.

Advises the Admissions management team using statistical analysis and data on the planning and development goals of the office.

Manages the development of information, reports, and data management in support of enrollment services recruitment and retention efforts. Must use extensive knowledge of strategic enrollment management, recruitment and retention of diverse students, and statistical analysis in developing these reports.

Develops, maintains, and analyzes the required and/or requested reporting information mainly for the Office of Admissions and for all departments in Enrollment Services as requested by the Associate Director of Internal Operations. Also works closely with Institutional Research in developing reports and analyzing data directly related to the academic success of students at the college.

Maintains information and develops/provides training related to the BANNER student information system and its subsystems including the Operational Data Store, Enterprise Data Warehouse, BRM and RAP module. Must stay current with all BANNER upgrades and revisions and train staff on the use of these systems.

Along with the Associate Director of Admissions for Internal Operations, serves as a technological expert for the office including Banner, BXS Imaging, Access, BRM, RAP, workflow and other technological tools. Maintains updates and creates Access databases using Visual Basic to support the Admissions budget database, Student Excel database and workstudy/hourly database.

Creates and manages campaigns and population selections in BRM, assists with training of office staff on the system, and works with IT to troubleshoot problems and issues.

Assists with transcript evaluation, application processing and uploading test scores as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; plus three years of experience working with a diverse population of students in a higher education setting; and experience in management, marketing, customer service, and information/data management.

Experience with implementing technology, communication processes, and student information systems, is essential.
Experience with Banner, BRM (CRM), BXS Imaging, SPSS, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Visual Basic Programming language.

Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files: analyzing file structure, using and creating file layouts, transforming raw data into finished products.

Experience with database application development (e.g., Oracle Databases, SQL, SQL Developer)

2-3 years experience in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software.

Use and support database applications and analytical tools: evaluate data quality, applications, and functions, produce output, maintain operation

Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling required.

Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.  

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree; plus five years of experience working with a diverse population of students in a higher education setting; and experience in management, marketing, customer service, and information/data management.

Thorough working knowledge of MSCD's Banner system, BRM/RAP and web-based computer systems.

Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data.

Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files: analyzing file structure, using and creating file layouts, transforming raw data into finished products.

4 plus years experience in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software.
