Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for an appointment in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. The appointment is at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Candidates for the position in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology should be board certified in pediatrics and board certified/eligible in pediatric nephrology with strong clinical skills and patient oriented research interests and an interest in teaching and would join three additional clinical nephrologists. The candidate should have an interest in academic achievement in clinical nephrology.
Responsibilities will include clinical care, teaching, and clinical research. The division provides the full spectrum of acute and chronic renal replacement therapies, plasmapheresis, percutaneous renal biopsy, active solid organ transplant program, inpatient and outpatient management, and consultations.
Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a 190 bed free standing hospital and ambulatory care center located in midtown St. Louis, and serves a diverse population from the inner city, the metropolitan area, and a 200-mile referral radius. The medical staff includes 110 full time site-based Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty. The St. Louis metropolitan area is well-known for its low cost of living, excellent public and private schools, diverse cultural opportunities, numerous parks, recreation, and wildlife sites, and professional sports.
