Detailed Job Description

Serve as the primary investigator for alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, including sexual harassment claims which includes sexual misconduct and sexual assault. This position is not that of an advocate; rather it serves as an unbiased investigator.  
Conduct all student on student or student respondent sexual harassment investigations following the Federal Office of Civil Right's guidelines on such investigations.

Conduct investigations of other student conduct policy violation allegations, as referred by the Assistant Dean/Student Judicial Officer.

Maintain all documentation of investigations.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality on all proceedings.
Present findings to the Assistant Dean/Student Judicial Officer or Student Judicial Hearing Board and the Title IX Coordinator in report format.

Track reportable sexual assault crimes for the annual Campus Security Report

Attend appropriate trainings and stay current on all changes to Title IX, the Clery Act, and any other applicable legislation or regulations.

Assist the AD in conducting training for all recognized Campus Security Authorities on their reporting obligation under the Campus Security report for sexual assault and misconduct.

Assist in the development of training materials and programs for all students on the sexual harassment policy and the reporting process.

Recommend appropriate changes and updates to the College's sexual harassment and sexual misconduct policies.

Other duties as assigned  

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in social work, human services, criminal justice, pre-law, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Three years experience conducting confidential investigations or case assessments, utilizing interviews as a primary data collection method
Experience developing and maintaining detailed case documentation and report writing
Ability to maintain a high level of impartiality and professionalism at all times
Excellent oral and written communication skills  

Preferred Qualifications

A relevant graduate degree. Understanding of sexual violence and related interpersonal dynamics
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering outreach materials, programs and/or presentations
