Detailed Job Description

Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts prospects for The University of Alabama. This position will work with individuals, corporations, and foundations in building relationships in support of academic and institutional priorities.

Additional Department Summary:

The Major Gifts Officer will identify, cultivate, and solicit donor prospects for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position will work with individuals, corporations, and foundations in building relationships in support of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in development, fund-raising, sales, public relations, or related field; or a master's degree and one year of professional experience in in development, fund-raising, sales, public relations, or related field. Frequent travel required.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge in the areas of annual fund, major giving, and planned giving. Prefer experience in Intercollegiate Athletics, Higher Education or Not for Profit Organization. Prefer degree in Business Administration, Sports Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field. Experience in management, athletic administration, and business administration or other relevant area is preferred. Good public relations, communications, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and to use other standard software packages. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 42993.60 Midpoint - $ 62337.60
