Under the direction of Associate Athletic Director, Senior Administrator, this position processes all student athlete-injury accident claims, is a liaison between UVU and healthcare providers, works closely with athletic trainers and compliance to ensure student-athletes are eligible for team participation. Oversees incoming student-athletes insurance needs. Helps write policies and procedures for student-athletic compliance packets.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling two years of directly related experience in insurance claims.

Knowledge

Knowledge:
Must demonstrate knowledge of insurance claims process and insurance premium billing

Must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA regulations governing healthcare insurance.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Skills

Skills:
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Must demonstrate skill in organizing a complex and diverse business insurance environment.

Abilities

Abilities:
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment and be able to work a moderately flexible schedule when necessary.

Must be able to work independently with little or, at times no, supervision.

Must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse personalities and under very different and/or difficult circumstances.

Pay Range

$10.54 - $13.17
