•Collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and other faculty in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures of the program that are consistent with the policies of the parent institution
•Develop and collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and other faculty in preparing the curriculum and courses that will meet program goals and objectives.
•Provide academic leadership.
•Use teaching strategies that enhance student learning. Follows standard instructional design practices in course preparation, including the planning of current syllabi, development of learning activities and creation of examinations and other appropriate assessment tools.
•Manage classroom/laboratory/clinic maintaining an environment conducive to learning.
•Evaluate student progress and maintain records of student classroom and clinical experience.
•Model positive leadership skills and encourage positive student behavior.
•Maintains an active and on-going program of professional development in nursing, nursing education, and in other areas related to institutional objectives.
•Actively participates in related duties and activities that may be assigned, including, but are not limited to: student advising, assisting with scheduling of classes, textbook selection, and developing curricula.
•Support College programs designed to achieve student completion rates..
•Provide support to college and community relations activities.
•Actively participate in related duties and activities that may be assigned, including, but are not limited to: student advising, assisting with scheduling of classes, and accreditation and licensing.
•Other responsibilities as determined by the Dean of Nursing
•Graduate of accredited nursing program
•MSN or Higher required
•Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
•Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
•Minimum of two years of relevant and current clinical practice.
•Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and advising skills.
•Adherence to Nursing program policies and procedures.
•Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology.
