Job ID 688

(Hamilton or Middletown Campus): Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor (two positions) beginning August 2015 for one-year appointment.  Visit for more information about the Justice and Community Studies Department and for more information about the campus.


Full load of teaching duties to include introduction to criminal justice, policing, and writing in criminal justice. Ability to teach forensic investigations or law/courts is desired.  Additional duties include providing general advising to undergraduates and performing service to the department and the university.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor or Master’s (for appointment as Instructor) in criminal justice or a closely related field; Ph.D. (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) in criminal justice or a closely related field; commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.  

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using active learning strategies and teaching in online and hybrid formats.
