Detailed Job Description

The Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness will help manage and facilitate the continuing development and further enhancement of the outcomes assessment activities within both academic and administrative departments.

Additional Department Summary:

The Assistant Director serves with an IE team responsible for ensuring continued University planning and evaluation efforts across all campus divisions and departments. The Assistant Director assists in the identification and development of assessment plans and reports, manages departmental assessment projects as requested, assists in the development and implementation of professional development opportunities about assessment and computer assessment management systems, and supports the development and maintenance of IE webpages. The Assistant Director is expected to remain current on issues related to institutional effectiveness, best practices in assessment of academic and non-academic units, and both disciplinary and institutional accreditation standards and processes. The Assistant Director supports the diverse functions of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, who also serves as the SACSCOC Liaison.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree and one year; or a doctorate degree

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in the field of assessment/institutional effectiveness.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work in a collaborative office environment and with individuals from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds; ability to manage projects; ability to facilitate meetings with people from diverse backgrounds and diverse experiences with assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and experience in developing and implementing outcome assessment initiatives in higher education academic and/or administrative units at a large institution with undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs; a working knowledge of an automated accreditation management system (WEAVE, TracDat, etc.); and experience with higher educational regional accreditation is preferred. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 42993.60 Midpoint - $ 62337.60
