Financial Manager to coordinate essential financial areas of responsibility under the Assistant Dean for Administration including enhancing information systems. Prepares reporting packages including forecasting, analytical review and graphs. Oversees projects and implements them successfully.
Financial reporting, forecasting and analysis – fulfill the financial reporting responsibilities of Farmer School of Business including preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports and presentation materials for key stakeholders. Develop critical management decision analysis tools and implement tracking of revenue generating and cost saving initiatives. Budgeting process – serve a primary role in the design and implementation of the annual budget process for the division and provide day-to-day oversight of the plan. Accounting – provide leadership of the day-to-day oversight of fund accounting and financial reporting functions by directing and interacting with FSB constituents.
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minor in Decision Science
Six months to one year of experience in office environment (experience earned during degree program acceptable).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong organization skills, detail oriented and demonstrated teamwork skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field; Master's degree in related area.
Minimum one year business experience (experience earned during degree program acceptable), with a focus on finance or accounting.
Experience with fund accounting in a university or similar environment.
Strong project management skills and an entrepreneurial, self-motivated attitude.
Experience with integrated financial systems such as Banner Finance, a major plus.
Experience in writing macros to develop sophisticated databases and spreadsheets.
Experience in using Tableau to develop sophisticated dashboards.
Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment.
