Functions consist of admissions, registration, student fee payments and
records, while ensuring compliance with college policies and
procedures, and state and governmental rules and regulations.
Meets with students, resolving residency for tuition purposes, and
providing assistance regarding cross registration, student verifications
and individual student situations that are not of a routine nature.
Schedules and trains office staff to provide coverage for all areas within
the Enrollment Center.
Serves as the “next level” in resolving student issues relating to
registration, refunds, withdrawal exceptions, scheduling and Bannerrelated
Serves as the intermediary between the Registrar’s Office and the
academic division offices and counseling office with regards to student
Serves as a resource to the Dean of Student Affairs and Campus
President’s office in dealing with student registration or residency issue
Works closely with other departments in improving customer service
strategies for students.
Resolves registration problems that occur through scheduling and
Runs academic dismissal reports and processes letters.
Processes academic readmission petitions in Banner and mails letters.
Processes reinstatements for students who have been dropped for nonpayment
in previous semesters.
Processes withdrawl exception petitions.
Assists in resolving issues pertaining to
PSEOP/International/Veteran students if coordinators are unavailable.
Maintains and promotes correct and timely communications with
appropriate staff throughout the campus and College regarding
administrative and student issues.
Evaluates on-going job processes to determine effectiveness and
Ensures handouts and forms are correct and available for distribution.
Coordinates job shadowing activities for employees.
Communicates college issues or new processes to staff members.
Serves on various committees as they relate to student success.
Administers the office in the absence of the director and associate
Meets with students and processes withdrawal exception petitions.
Assists in the supervision and evaluation of the Enrollment Center
Representatives at the direction of the Center Director.
Maintains records functions for the campus.
Minimum 2 years progressively responsible student affairs experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to exemplary customer service
Ability to work as a member of a student-oriented administrative team
Ability to make fair, equitable and intelligent decisions which directly
affect current and potential students
Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
Minimum of 5 years of student affairs experience
Two years experience in an Admissions & Records setting
Experience working in a Banner student information system
Generally 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with one day 10:00 am – 6:30 pm. Occasional additional evenings and Saturdays as
dictated by volume.
