Job Responsibilities

Develop the strategy, coordination and detailed implementation of the fixed asset tagging, tracking and inventory processes which include the use of Web Checkout software, banner software and sciquest eprocurement software.

Manage asset life cycle of both physical goods/equipment and intellectual property from point of central receiving at the dock and inclusive of department transfers, adjustments, retirement and disposal of property.

Monitor and implement internal control activities associated with asset disposition through the use of College fixed assets modules.

Develop and maintain processes and procedures for the on-boarding and disposal of assets. Manages the disposition of surplus inventory through sales, auction, donations and/or scrap.

Maintain records of asset location and disposition.

Generate monthly reconciled reports such as: assets sold each month, assets repurposed each month, surplus inventory at the warehouse and updates to monthly cost savings goals. Create other reports and metrics as needed.

Lead and perform annual physical inventory of the asset surplus warehouse and select IT equipment.

Generate reports and analyze data to monitor trends and identify risk management improvements.

Assist with research and resolution of discrepancies.

Identifies solutions for corrective action and efficiencies.

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in Business Supply Chain/Logistics, Accounting, Business, Finance or related and/or a minimum of three years of related professional experience in capital asset/inventory management

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possesses working knowledge of business supply chain concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possesses strong commitment to providing excellent customer service

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment requiring flexibility and teamwork

Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, create opportunities and solve problems

Possesses strong organizational, time-management skills, and is results-oriented

Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Ability to effectively accept direction from multiple levels of the College in various departments

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Possesses working knowledge of community engagement concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations

Demonstrated intermediate Project Management skills

Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word

Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Banner system (or equivalent program), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
