The Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University seeks applicants for a full-time term (non-tenure track) assistant professor starting August 2015. The primary duty of term-appointed faculty is teaching with service expectations. This appointment is for one year duration and may be renewed.
We are seeking a broadly-trained biologist committed to excellence in teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory non-major courses in Biology and the possibility of upper-level or graduate courses in molecular and cell biology. Service to the University community is also required, and may include guiding, advising, and mentoring students.
Qualifications for this position include a Ph.D. in Biology or a closely-related field at the time of appointment. Classroom teaching experience in biology lecture and laboratory environments at the undergraduate level and use of instructional technologies is highly desired.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background applying molecular and cellular techniques to biological problems. Candidates from diverse fields in biological sciences are encouraged to apply.
