Teach full load of courses in Fashion Design-Apparel, advise students, develop curriculum.
Develop and teach curriculum for an emerging new program in Fashion Design. Primary teaching responsibilities to be determined. Other responsibilities include providing strategic vision for the College of Creative Arts to expand the existing Fashion Design minor into a co-major in Fashion, developing new, flexible and distinctive global curriculum including interdisciplinary courses/topics relevant to student practice across the division and in partnership with the Farmer School of Business, with potential to develop digital fashion design courses, new on-line, winter, summer and international co-major and graduate curriculum; advise students.
Expected to benchmark model programs, partner with Miami University Career Services and College of Creative Arts departments and programs (Architecture + Interior Design, Art, Music, and Theatre, Interactive Media, Art Museum, and Performing Arts), and broaden internship profiles and alumni networking.
One-year renewable appointment, dependent upon funding and performance for reappointment.
Earned Master’s in Fashion Design with teaching experience (for appointment as Instructor); MFA (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor).
