The College of Education, Health & Society (EHS) invites applications for the position of Copywriter/Digital Marketing Specialist. This position will play a key role in planning, designing, implementing, reviewing and assessing the integrated communications and marketing efforts of EHS. EHS is looking for a personable, articulate, detail-oriented self-starter with strong project management skills to work in a team-based environment to advance its strategic goals and objectives. This position reports to Coordinator of Marketing, Outreach and Global Initiatives.
Collaboratively develop and implement all digital campaigns and strategies including but not limited to website, social media, landing pages, and emails;
Copywriting - establish tone and voice. Produce relevant copy for marketing materials, web and written correspondence;
Devise strategies to drive online traffic; track conversion rates and improve website; raise brand and program awareness; improve usability; evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data; review new technologies and bring EHS to forefront of developments in digital marketing;
Proactively research and implement plans to harness/incorporate emerging technologies as appropriate
Work with Creative Team to co-lead new business practices and implement digital strategies.
Use the CMS (Cascade) to post updates, manage landing pages and build out new features and functionality; continually evaluate site interface to optimize the user experience; use Google Analytics to assess site performance and compile KPIs;
Social media – maintain and post content to our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Linkedin sites per an editorial calendar; monitor user experience and engagement and maintain KPIs to inform our content strategy.
Help promote special events and other outreach activities.

Bachelor’s or Fine Arts degree in marketing, communications, interactive media, web design or related field.
Exceptional copywriting and communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas
Understanding of technology and desire to keep up with emerging technology trends
Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused with strong project management skills
Ability to manage time, prioritize multiple and concurrent tasks, and quickly produce results
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Sound understanding of marketing principles
Experience with website content management systems (Cascade)
Fluency with usability architecture, development and design tools (including HTML), seo, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, image files (jpeg, tif, png, etc.)
Basic understanding of website analytics and measuring ROI
Solid understanding of online copywriting and how it impact search engine optimization
Interest and demonstrated use of various social media platforms
Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
Basic Video and/or photography skills
Adobe Creative Suite, particularly PhotoShop and InDesign
