Detailed Job Description

Designs, configures, documents, and modifies AV systems for teaching and learning and performs system analysis and configuration. Maintains systems for optimum operating efficiency. Provides project management, technical guidance, and leadership to users, as well as provides senior technical support and troubleshooting assistance to service technicians and other team members. 


Bachelor's degree in educational technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience required, Masters Preferred.

Minimum 4-6 years' experience in the design, modification, and maintenance of AV systems and software required, preferably in higher education instructional technology.

Documentable experience in creating and reading AutoCAD drawings is required. InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist certification (CTS), CTS-D (Design).

Experience with audio/visual systems design and control programming such as Crestron or AMX.

Experience leading and documenting projects, and producing design drawings.

Excellent problem solving abilities and extensive knowledge of AV systems.

Broad insight and understanding of current educational technologies required.

Requires a high level of technical maturity and strong communication and organization skills.
