The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position to serve as the director for events and programs and teach two courses per semester in the university’s general education program, University Explorations, at our main campus.
This is a twelve (12) month administrative appointment with teaching one course in the candidate’s discipline in Arts and Sciences as an overload each semester.
This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Plan, organize, create, and manage campus departmental and interdepartmental events as well as events sponsored by the Faculty Council and the school.
In addition, this position will work with faculty at our education centers to increase the number of departmental events sponsored at our centers. Some evening work and travel expected.
Teach one course a semester as an overload in an Arts and Sciences discipline.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 hours of graduate study and/or credentials to teach in an area of Arts and Sciences, preferably either in fine arts or sociology.
Experience programming/planning, organizing, creating, and managing academic events.
